Rio de Janeiro in Brazil

In Y1 Geography, we have been jet-setting across the world (from our classroom!) to learn all about Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
We discovered the amazing animals, explored the tropical weather, and talked about some of the city’s key characteristics. From beaches and mountains to its famous landmarks. We then compared everything we learned to what we know about the United Kingdom, spotting lots of differences and a few similarities too!
To celebrate all our learning, we created colourful Brazilian carnival masks, turned up the music, and had our very own samba dance and mini carnival parade around school playground. 💃🎭🎉
If Rio needs extra performers for next year’s Carnival, Year 1 are absolutely ready. 😎
