Newsletter 2.4.26
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a memorable week it has been at Marus Bridge!
Our wonderful Reception children absolutely stole the show with their adorable Easter bonnet parade, while Year 1 celebrated a vibrant Red, White and Blue Day. Year 2 had a fantastic visit to Smithills Open Farm, creating memories that will last a long time.
Back in school, I have been blown away by the creativity and skill demonstrated in Year 5 DT projects, and Year 6 impressed us all with their bread-making skills—Paul Hollywood would most definitely have been handing out the handshakes! 🍞⭐
🍫 FOMBA
The children thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of the WONKA bars this week, with lots of individual and class prizes won. A special mention goes to Ruby, who won the top prize of being Headteacher for an hour! Apparently, she discovered that headteachers mainly drink brews, eat chocolate biscuits and give out stickers 🤗—she did an amazing job!
More information from FOMBA about upcoming events will follow. If you could get involved in any way, please do contact Adam on 07730 131000. Any support—big or small—is always welcome, as are fresh faces and ideas! Please give them a follow on Facebook.
A huge thank you to FOMBA and all its members for everything you do for our school community.
💛 Thank You to Our Volunteers
Another heartfelt thank you goes to all our volunteers who generously give their time—whether accompanying children on trips, reading weekly with pupils, or even joining the fun as masked readers in Reception. This support is invaluable and truly highlights what makes our community so special.
🍽 Lunchtime Supervisor Vacancy
You may have noticed that we are currently advertising for a Lunchtime Supervisor. It’s a lovely role, and we would love to hear from anyone interested.
We also wish to say thank you to Mrs Tickle, who will be leaving us after the Easter holidays. Please contact the school office for further details about the vacancy .
