Emotionally Friendly Schools

Emotionally Friendly Schools(EFS)
Marus Bridge Primary School is committed to supporting the wellbeing and mental health of the whole school community. The Emotionally Friendly Schools (EFS) programme is a flexible, whole school approach to improving children and young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing for primary schools.

The programme, in conjunction with the Educational Psychology team in Wigan, aims to provide our school with the best proven methods, tools and support to help nurture happy, successful children by identifying and responding to their broad emotional needs.

The EFS programme focuses on four areas within the school setting which contribute to the emotional health and well-being of the school community;
• Staff well-being and school ethos
• Whole school and classroom practice
• Assessing Needs
• Supporting individual children

We are thrilled to announce that we have recieved the bronze accreditation for this award and are only one of 12 schools in Wigan to have this award.

Many thanks for your continued support for our school community.

Please see the websites below for more support or/and visit our Wellbeing, Healthy Schools & Mental Health Information on the parents section of the website.
